Holistic life is something that has been in the making for a long time.
My interest in nutrition began for all the wrong reasons. I tried every diet and fad out there to achieve my goal of being “skinny”, but it was never enough. I started training at an early age, trying to burn off the calories I had eaten. Meanwhile, I would sleep every hour I could, either to skip meals or because I was so drained from lack of food and over-training. I began to struggle with an eating disorder, which led me to develop digestive issues and food intolerances. Due to pushing my body to such extremes, and on top of working in a very stressful job, I finally burned out. I knew I had to change.
I became more intuitive and aware of what my body truly needed. I learned how and when to rest, not only through sleep, but by meditation, yoga, and self-care activities. I found CrossFit and started training in a way that I actually enjoyed and felt empowered by. I was eating to nourish my body, rather than starve it. I further supplemented my own insights by reading scientific research on human health and biology. I wanted to fully understand what our bodies need to function at their best.
Now, with over 7 years of experience in the health and fitness industry, owning and managing CrossFit affiliates, holding nutrition seminars, clean eating challenges and consultations, I am excited to provide a compassionate service that reflects my journey to a holistic view of health.
